For Admins: Receiving Recognition in Microsoft Teams

Make recognition a natural part of your team’s daily flow. Our integration with Microsoft Teams puts employee appreciation front and center by automatically sharing recognition messages where your team collaborates most.
There are two ways to set up this integration—both quick and effective:

Directly through Microsoft Teams, using the connector.

Via Power Automate, for more customization and control.

Directly in Microsoft Teams
- Navigate to the Teams Channel where you want sent recognition to be published
- Click on the 3 dots to the right of the channel name
- Click on "Workflows"
- In the pop-up, click on "Post to a channel when a webhook request is received"
- When you click on this message, a new window will open. In this window, you can Name the connection. You may leave as the default. In addition, Teams will authenticate your email.
- When Teams is ready, click Next.
- After clicking "Next", you will be prompted to "Add the Workflow". Double check the Teams and Channel box to ensure you have the right channel.
- Click "Add the Workflow"
- When you add the workflow, you will be taken to a last screen in the pop up. It will tell you that the Workflow has been created. You will see a message that says "Run it by making a POST request to" with a link underneath.
- Copy the link and send it to your account manager.
- Inspirus will finalize the connection by inputting the URL into our system and you will start receiving recognition into your channels immediately!
Using Power Automate
- Navigate to your Make.PowerAutomate.com instance and click the "Create" tab on the right hand side
- Click on the "Instant Cloud Flow" in the "Start from blank" section
- Type in a Flow Name
- Scroll Down in the "Choose how to trigger this flow" section and click on "When a Teams webhook request is received"
- Click "Create"
- A workflow designer page will load. On this page, you will be asked "Who can trigger this flow?".
- Change this drop down to "Anyone"
- Now, click on the Plus Sign to insert a new action
- Search for "post card" and click on the "Post card in a chat or channel"
- In the new window that pops up, you will see "Post as" and "Post in".
- For "Post As", choose "Flow bot"
- For "Post In", choose "Channel"
- When you choose "Channel", more options will appear.
- Type in your Team Name and Channel.
- Click on the "Adaptive Card" tab next.
- In the pop-up, click on "Attachments Adaptive Card"
- You may need to type "/" to show the "Attachments Adaptive Card" option in the menu.
- After clicking "Attachments Adaptive Card", the "Adaptive Card" section will appear as below
- From here, click Save in the bar near the top right.
- Now, back to the Webhook request icon and you will see a HTTP URL.
- Copy the URL via the icon and send it to your account manager
- Inspirus will finalize the connection by inputting the URL into our system and you will start receiving recognition into your channels immediately!
